|put on the armor of God...|
Fight. There's a battle going on, |
we're on the front lines.
The evil grows but we carry on.
We wage war against this system,
this system that only seeks to destroy.
Now we're in and there's no turning back.
They push us down now we're pushing back.
We've gotta fight the system.
We've gotta fight, we gotta.
We've gotta fight the system.
Cause if we don't, we're only giving up the things we fought for when we began.
Fight the system, this system with conviction and stand in Christ in the end.
Fight the system. And we won't give up till they give in.
I've got a picture of you that I carry in my wallet.|
You were two years old and full of innocence.
Now the picture is old, worn, torn and tattered.
But your smile is the same as I've always remembered it.
So beautiful, so innocent.
The same look in your eyes as there has always been.
Gazing off into the distance.
With the same look that staring at me now, staring at me now.
You're the one, you see right through me.
You're the one, past all I've done.
You're the one, into the real me.
You're the one, same now I knew it all along.
Now love arrives like a shot in the dark.
And years go by like the seconds on the clock.
Eighteen years have come and gone so fast.
Like the sands that are slipping through the hour glass.
How can I say what words can't say.
A million songs could not explain.
The single point that I'm trying to make.
Two become one, a bond that will never break.
In sickness and in health.
For richer or for poorer.
We'll face this world together.
And all the trails before us.
Your hand in mine. You're the one.
Same now I knew it all along.
It's what you want, it's what you need.|
Man they got the things for you.
They'll break you big just like a chemical reaction.
Then they'll tell you what to say and do.
You want this, and you need that.
But nobody really knows why.
They take control, no self control.
You're just along for the ride.
It's what you need.Take time to think.
Is what you want what you need this time.
And look around and take a hold.
Who's in control of your life.
You used to think you had it all figured out.
You'd never fall for their game.
Now you want out but that's a chemical reaction.
And now you're going insane.
Pride in your heart, filth in your mind.
I see the lust in your eyes.
Turned back around to your one true love.
Integrity in sight. It's what you need this time.
This is a song that I'm sendin to my generation.|
We are the youth confronting our failing nation.
Standing in Christ, and we're never giving up.
We've got a problem and it's our own procrastination.
We need a jolt from our mental situation.
Now is the time, the time for us to wake up.
Forever young, seizing the day.
Forever young, no running away.
Forever young, come what may.
Forever young,I'm gonna stay.
It's time for change, today's the day.
My moment in time and I wont' let it slip away.
I never been so sure but my mind is made up.
Renew my strength, with power to withstand this darkness.
Renew my life, past the days of my present unrest.
And through the years keep my youthful vigor strong.
We roam the streets of America.|
On a 30 gallon tank on the heels of a dream.
Don't have much money or a good reputation.
But things ain't always what they seem.
I'm just a kid from the USA.
With a guitar and something to say.
I'm hangin' out with Jimmy Rocketship.
On a mission with a rock-n-roll anthem.
Friends by my side our God all around us.
Music on the stereo the rhythm surrounds us.
The rhythm of life the beat of eternal.
Insecurities laid low cause we're all in together.
We roam the streets of America.
On three hours of sleep and some Mountain Dew.
We don't have much except each other.
And a song of hope and a grip on the truth.
We've got to stand together.|
We've got to work together.
We've got to stick together.
Together overcome. We've got to walk together.
We've got to live together. We've to stay together.
Together overcome. Together be as one.
Together in His sight. Together by His might.
Together so we might stand.
A house divided fall in the end.
So heed the warning. Stand together.
Yeah, we're all a little different but yet the same.
To God above us. Stand together now.
Drive through the night with no end in sight.|
Ten hour shift with ten hours left.
A rainy day when we pull into LA.
Dreaming of my home three thousand miles away.
Then I woke up in Southern California.
A world away from the only life I've known.
I'll spend a month stuck in California.
People all around me but I never felt so alone.
Hollywood is nice but it will never be my home sweet home.
Three more weeks in La Mirada.
Money's running out and it's gonna get harder.
Wastin' my days away.
Today I woke up at three, tomorrow we'll do the same.
Put on my aftershave, get dressed and out the door by 4:58.
We hit the streets find a place to eat.
Grab fourteen friends and jump into the van.
Three to a seat we head to the beach.
Ain't got no money the waves are always free.
I've found a home in Southern California.
Sleep on a couch crash in with the Jones'.
It's not so bad being stuck in Southern California.
I've come to find however far away I'm not alone.
I've found a family a second home sweet home.
Savannah, Georgia, still on my mind.
City of Angels residential for the mean time.
Watching time go by, my days turned into nights.
Monday we take to the sky.Washington state.
Then back for two days, say goodbye, and drive away.
We drive away.
This is a war.We bear the scars of our struggle.|
A struggle from within our souls.
We fight for freedom to serve our God.
And after all to stand. We took it on the chin.
We won't do that again. This time you've gone too far.
This time we fight back.A price was paid to set us free.
And make us whole and give us strength to overcome.
The evil powers in the world around us.Victory is ours.
Kevin my brother I remember when you said goodbye and walked away.|
You always said to live is Christ to die is to gain.
Despite all my pain.
I know you gave it all when you made the final journey home.
You weren't alone. And I remember cryin' the I heard you died and.
The way I felt can't be described except as painful joy inside me.
Now months have passed, and seasons changed.
But memories still remain.
I look around and at the lives you've touched.
And the difference your life made through God's extended grace.
And there was a smile on His face.
The day that you left this place.
Welcome home. And what you lived for is what you died for.
Looking back I remember the times we've had.|
And what they mean to me.
Through the good and through the bad.
We've always stood side by side.
To see each other through.
Cause I know what it's like to feel your pain.
Cause I've been there before and I'd go back again.
To keep you safe with me.
Time goes by and memories of yesterday.
Give way to new ones.
People come, people go, but this one thing I realize.
We'll always be together.
When there's to many questions.
And your troubles all surround you.
And you don't know why.
Still I'll be there.
Every time you laugh and every time you cry.
I'll never go to far away.
I'll be there by your side or just a phone call away.
Whatever distance there may be.
We know the God who watches over us never ever sleeps.
Let's take the time to look around.|
All the things in life and what we really are about.
In desperate measures and desperate times.
What sees you through is who's by your side.
And in the end, when it all comes down.
Who are your friends, who's still hangin' around.
What makes your life complete is what you sow and reap.
And the bond of God with your friends you've found.
Few things in life that I have truly found.
Worth sacrifice worth laying my life down.
My best friend died for me, and I would die for him.
And I'd die for you my friend.
That friendship build by God above us.
And unity through His Spirit that dwells inside us.
There's just one body, one tie that binds us.
And they will have tear it down.
Pressing forward, you're hand in mine.
Our hand in His, withstand the test of time.
And through it all one thing I've learned.
A hand extended is soon returned.
Living in a world where values seem to change.
Like the channels on TV life becomes a talk show.
They'll bend us and we break. The can take away our lives.
But they will never break the tie that binds.
What do you see in our future, unite.|
If we can't ever get along, unite.
Analyze the situation, unite.
No unity if there's no God, unite.
Held together by the power of His word.
We are the young, we are the free, we are the only ones.
Who stand determined to change what we've become.
We won't go gentile into that good night.
Rage against the dying of the light.
As apathy and hate continue to destroy the nations.
It seems self-destruction is built into human nature.
I got no time to self-destruct in truth the time is right.
Kids of the world, unite.Grasping at dreams of tomorrow, unite.
And now they're almost in our reach, unite.
But attaining peace through human effort, unite.
Is just the means to the end, unite.
Held together by the power of His word.
The answer lies in the body, unite.
To stand together as one, unite.
Conditioned to reflect the truth, unite.
Useless if we don't get along, unite.Unite.
Held together by the power of His might.
Kids of the world unite.Kids of the world.
Alright.When I was younger I thought I had it all figured out.|
I knew it all, I knew everything there was to know about.
Adolescent rage, flying out of control.
Only did as I pleased, never did as I was told.
You tried to show me the way, and then I laughed in your face.
You were always on my side, but I thought you were always on my case.
Arrogant pride, too blind to sever see.
I gave up on you , but you never gave up on me.
So this song goes out to you.
To say thanks for all the things you do.
And all the things you've done to see me through.
What's right and what's wrong.
When words were short your actions spoke just as strong.
Because of you I am what I've become.
In the days of my youth, I will remember my God.|
Enjoy your life while you are still young.
But remember God will judge you for what you have done.
Not long ago you had a fire that burned so bright.
But now it seems it's all but gone out inside.
You've lost your vigor, you lost your will to fight.
You had a reason to start this war.Now there's a problem.
You forgot what you're fighting for. You're giving up.
You've lost direction.
With no direction, you're just another old man.
I'll never be an old man.
A million things in this man's world.|
That his life can revolve around.
A million things that'll fill him up.
Only to throw him further down.
I've seen the ways of man.His best laid plains often go astray.
Not knowing how much time is left until his final day.
I watch him wander around.
Searching for meaning where none can be found.
He wanted a purpose to life.
But on purpose refuses the life.
But I won't trade the truth for a lie.
Or live by a false set of rules.
I'll look to God for what is right.
And fight the ways of this world.
Cause when it all comes down to it.
I'll leave this world to the one who brought me into it.
What power in this world gives you hope in the days to come.
What strength can you derive when it's out of our control.
When the rivers all run dry and every path is a dead end road.
The truth of the matter comes to light.
The truth will shatter the mold.
So, you say you have the right to kill.|
To seek and destroy at will.
They've killed before the poor unborn.
So you say you owe 'em one.
All in the name of God.
You murder, you kill, you steal.
Continuously imposing your will.
With blood on your hand, you make demands.
Death to those you don't understand. It's a lie.
Thoughts roam my mind as headlights shine piercing the darkness around.|
The wheels roll on like the days of my life into the future ahead.
I watch the cars go past as they go the other way.
Sometimes my thoughts follow then back into yesterday.
Behind me lies an old and familiar place.
Ahead uncertainty is starring me right in the face.
Sing out loud to stay awake as time goes by.
I watch the night turn into day and time goes by.
I've turn the corner into another world a different place in time.
Like a vapor on the road, so are those days of our lives.
Four kids in a van, on a mission from God.
Driving from state to state guided by the road.
Behind us lies an old and familiar place.
Ahead uncertainty is starring me right in the face.
Another month out on the road as time goes by.
Another month until the road leads home and time goes by.
And time goes by.I think of you.
Kids of the world, are you ready.|
Please welcome from the gutters of South-East Georgia,
the glam-slam kids of rock. Squad Five-O.
Sometimes I feel turned around and upside down.
Sometimes maybe I think too much. But, baby, my heart's still in touch.
I remember standin' tall sayin' I'm gonna be a rock-n-roll star.
Some one said sit down boy, you already are. Oh, yeah.
So raise your hands to rock, rock.
Summertime was always right just me and you.
Sixteen and dealing with those summertime blues.
I was young and restless living on the edge of a dream.
Someone said come on boy, ya just gotta believe. Oh, yeah.
Raise your hands to rock, rock. Play one time Aaron.
Raise your hands to rock, rock. Come on, raise your hands to rock.
Everybody, raise your hands to rock. You really know how to rock.
Come on lets rock. Thank you, thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen.
Put your hands together. One time, thank you, thank you very much.
Come on lets rock. Thank you good night.
You want more, I said do you want some more.
Well let me hear ya scream.
